Vanessa is our BeBody pilates instructor who conducts our Wednesday morning Express Pilates, available on our exclusive members Facebook group. We chatted to her to find out how she got started with pilates, her favourite things and goals for the future too!
How did you get into fitness? I’ve always been sporty – as a kid I was in the various school teams, then became a gym bunny when I started work. My Mum has always played sport & gone to the gym too, she was a big influence growing up – and still is. We do online Zumba together now.
How long have you been teaching for? Online Mat pilates for 6 months, but I’ve been teaching Reformer pilates in a studio for longer.
Do you have a favourite class to teach? I like using the small equipment on a mat, especially the overball. Or jump boards on a reformer.
If you could play/try any another sport, what would it be? Cricket. I wish we’d played it at school – I’m now a girls cricket coach for our local village team.
Favourite food? Mince Pies
Favourite place to be? Asleep in bed
What’s your favourite Pilates move? Pike on the big exercise ball
What are your goals for the future? To stay fit & well
