Pilates is an exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture. It was created by German-born Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and incorporates elements of yoga, martial arts and Western forms of exercise.

Beginners Pilates is a mat based Pilates class for those totally new to Pilates. The basic key principals of Pilates are covered at the start of every block and the exercises chosen are of a level appropriate for complete beginners. The key principals of Pilates are control, breath, concentration, flow, centering, and precision. The exercises chosen are changed each block and apparatus is used from time to time to keep the routine fresh. The instructor works closely with each individual to ensure understanding of a neutral spine and how to set the core abdominal muscles for maximum benefit for the participant. The classes can be purchased on a block by block basis and run in line with school holidays or can be purchased on a pay as you go basis but this is subject to availability.
We have dedicated beginners classes on Mondays in Ware at 7pm, Tuesdays in Harlow at 7pm and Wednesdays in Harlow at 8pm, please check out our classes page for full details and venue info.
A 6 week block costs £42, and we run a holiday system. If clients let us know at the point of payment if they cannot attend any classes in the block we will only charge for the classes used however there is no refund or carrying over of classes missed due to sickness etc once the block has started. We don’t mind clients attending a different class one week of needed or are welcome to “make a class up” by coming twice in one week as long as it is within the same block.
Pay as you go is £8.50 per class paid in advance online and is subject to availability.
