What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture. It was created by German-born Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and incorporates elements of yoga, martial arts and Western forms of exercise.
“In 10 sessions, you feel better, 20 sessions you look better, 30 sessions you have a completely new body.” Joseph Pilates
Our classes can be purchased in six week blocks, on a block by block basis, and run in line with school holidays; or each class can be purchased on a pay as you go basis (subject to availability).
We have dedicated Beginners Pilates classes, Improvers Classes, Mixed Ability Classes, Antenatal Classes, Postnatal Classes and Restorative classes in Ware, Hertford, Harlow and the surrounding villages. Please see our class page for the timetable or follow the link for more information.
A six week block of classes costs £45, and we run a holiday system. If clients let us know at the point of payment that they cannot attend any classes in the block, we will only charge for the classes attended; however, there is no refund or carrying over of classes missed due to sickness etc once the block has started. We don’t mind clients attending a different class to their usual one, if they need to, or if a client misses a class they are welcome to “make a class up” by coming twice in one week – as long as it is within the same block.
Pay as you go is £8.50 per class paid in advance online (subject to availability).
UPDATE: due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, all our classes are currently being delivered Online – see our BeBody Online page for more details. We offer a simple online subscription package of £25 per month, allowing you unlimited access to our full timetable of live streamed and recorded Pilates classes.
