Belinda is the founder and main instructor at BeBody since its launch in 2007, combining her wealth of knowledge and experience to provide the best pilates, exercise and fitness classes. So that you can get to know her a little more, we asked her a few questions about her life and exercise experience.
Well – my Mum was an original “Green Goddess”, I am showing my age now, lol. She taught Keep Fit and Aquafit as long as I can remember. She used to embarrass me by doing grapevines in the kitchen. Then I got an age and thought, actually I would like to do that and she was kind enough to pay for my very first qualification, Exercise to Music.
How long have you been teaching for? That was 30 years ago!
Do you have a favourite class to teach? Ooooh that’s a tough one. It has to be Power Hour – it is loud, sweaty and so much fun!
If you could play/try any other sport, what would it be? A new sport? Windsurfing, I love the water.
Tea or Coffee? Ha – those of you that know me, it is coffee all the way but I am a big fan of herbal teas nowadays.
Favourite food? I love a curry with all the sides!
Favourite place to be? In the mountains in France in our little French apartment.
What’s your favourite Pilates move? Teaser from a supine position, it’s all about the coordination but looks mighty impressive if it goes right.
What are your goals for the future? To perhaps work a little less and enjoy life more.
